Parameters

Open in the editor opens the design with these defaults; change them afterwards in Modify › Parameters, and everything that depends on them follows. Opened from the editor’s template library instead (New ▾ › New from template…), the template asks for its values first and checks them against these ranges and against each other, and Copy link gives an address that opens it with your values.

Notes

The openings follow the Raspberry Pi 5 mechanical drawing: one slot for the USB-C power and both micro-HDMI ports, separate openings for Ethernet and the two USB stacks, a notch for the microSD card, a slot in the lid over the 40-pin GPIO header and vents over the processor. Check a printed base against your board before printing the lid - connectors vary by a few tenths, and the clearance setting moves the walls, not the openings.

The board sits on four standoffs (default 4 mm, enough for the microSD card underneath); fix it with M2.5 self-tapping screws into the 2.2 mm holes, or open the holes to 3.5 mm for brass heat-set inserts. The lid is printed upside down beside the base; its lip drops 0.25 mm inside the walls. For the official active cooler raise the height to 32 mm; for a HAT, raise it by the HAT's stack height.

The PCIe and camera ribbon connectors have no opening: cut a slot where your cable leaves.
